Elementary Dress Code (Pre-K Through 5th Grades)

The purpose of Kaufman Christian School’s Elementary Dress Code is to invoke a positive learning environment that is Christ-centered.  Our desire is to provide reasonable, affordable, and enforceable standards with our dress code. We know that such standards will quite often differ from those encouraged by media influences and popular culture. Therefore, a contemporary uniform has been selected.

Discretionary Authority

Despite our best efforts to be clear regarding details, requirements, and options, the need will occasionally arise for judgment calls to be made and discretionary authority to be exercised by teachers and administration. While we wish to avoid these kinds of decisions, the school reserves the right to do so.

Parent and Student Responsibility

Parental support of the dress code is essential. This is best accomplished by ensuring that your child is within dress code before leaving home, and by modeling a positive attitude concerning the dress code. Student compliance with the dress code is required.

Please be assured we are consistently striving to ensure our dress code is being followed by all students.

Uniform Dress Code

The Dress Code is available in the school office, School Cues, as well as on our website.

Chapel uniforms, worn on Wednesdays only, must be purchased through KCS ‘s French Toast School Store.

Click here to view the French Toast Store.

Non-chapel dress code wear (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) may be purchased through KCS’s French Toast School Store or an alternative location. Alternative purchase locations for non-chapel days would be places such as Wal-Mart, Target, Children’s Place, Academy, Amazon, etc. Whether purchases are made through French Toast, or an alternative location, the dress code must be followed. All clothing should fit appropriately and be in good condition. No cuts, holes, or tears should be visible.
