What are the school hours?
7:45-8:10 Morning Drop Off
8:10 Tardy Bell Rings
2:00 Upper School Dismisses
3:00 Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Dismiss
3:15 1st – 6th Grades Dismiss
Do you have Extended Care?
Yes, we have a morning and afternoon Extended Care program for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grades.
Afternoons After school until 6:00 pm
Do the students wear uniforms?
We follow a Dress Code and clothing items may be purchased at the store of your choice. Upon enrollment, a copy of the Dress Code policy will be given.
Do you offer extra-curricular activities?
We have a NASP Archery Team for 3rd-12th grade students. Students compete at archery meets in the North Texas area, as well as the State Meet, should the team qualify.
KCS also participates in ACSI Speech Meet and Math Olympics.
What curriculum do you use?
We primarily use A Beka and ACSI’s Purposeful Design. Teachers use various supplemental materials as well. Upper School uses Alpha Omega’s Ignitia curriculum.
Do you offer lunch service?
We have a Hot Lunch Program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The food is prepared by our Hot Lunch Moms and Grandmas. Students order meals one month at a time. Students bring their lunches the other days of the week. Microwaves are available for heating up lunches if needed.
What are class sizes?
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten have a 14:1 student/teacher ratio.
1st-6th grades have an 18:1 student/teacher ratio.
The Upper School program is limited to 15 students.
Are Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten all day programs?
Yes, both programs are all day, 5 days a week.
