5th Grade

Hello, my name is Jana Murrey and I am grateful to have the opportunity to teach at Kaufman Christian School. I graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Elementary Education. I am proud to come from a family of teachers and educators. I have spent the last 12 years educating students in public and private schools. I consider it a privilege to teach both academics and Biblical virtue in the classroom because, as C.S. Lewis says, “Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.”

I have been married to my husband and best friend, Daniel, for 11 years. We both serve at our church in Dallas. We have a daughter who is a student at KCS.
In my free time, I enjoy swing dancing, listening to old music, watching classic movies, and planning my next adventure with friends and family. I look forward to working with you as we help cultivate wise and virtuous citizens.
