{"id":105,"date":"2011-07-24T22:21:35","date_gmt":"2011-07-24T22:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/countrybiblechurch.org\/kcs\/?page_id=105"},"modified":"2020-08-31T12:35:53","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T17:35:53","slug":"dress-code","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kaufmanchristianschool.com\/dress-code\/","title":{"rendered":"Dress Code"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>\n\t\tKCS Dress Code Information\n\t<\/h1>\n\t<p>The purpose of Kaufman Christian School&#8217;s dress code is to invoke a positive learning environment. \u00a0Therefore, a contemporary dress code has been selected with durability, comfort, and expense in mind. \u00a0KCS requires cooperation by all parents and students to maintain a quality atmosphere in our program. \u00a0Questions regarding clarification of dress code standards may be directed to the administrator in the school office.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Polos, Turtlenecks, Blouses<\/h4>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kaufmanchristianschool.com\/dismissal-map\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kaufmanchristianschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/JBC-7272-editedsm.jpg\" alt=\"Dress Code\" width=\"200\" height=\"211\" \/><\/a>Style <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collared, buttoned or snapped polo (short or long sleeved) style shirt. Cap sleeves allowed for girls.<\/li>\n<li>Long sleeved turtleneck<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<strong>Color<\/strong><br \/>\nAny Solid Color\n<ul>\n<li>White, collared, button up dress shirt (short or long sleeved)<\/li>\n<li>All polos, blouses, and turtlenecks must be tucked in at all times.<\/li>\n<li>No logo or design other than approved KCS logo, may appear on any polo, blouse, or turtleneck.<\/li>\n<li>Long sleeved, solid colored cotton t-shirt or turtleneck may be worn under polo for warmth. \u00a0No under armour or thermal underwear may be worn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Slacks, Pants, Shorts<\/h4>\n<strong>Style<\/strong><br \/>\nPleated or front flat uniform pants; uniform shorts.\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<strong>Color<\/strong><br \/>\nLimited to Khaki, Navy Blue, or Black (solid, single colors)\n<ul>\n<li>Pants and shorts must be worn at the waist and properly hemmed.<\/li>\n<li>Shorts must be no more than 3 inches above the top of the knee.<\/li>\n<li>Baggy style pants or shorts are not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>No cargo or carpenter style pants or shorts are allowed. No denim material is allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Skirts, Skorts, Capris (Girls)<\/h4>\n<strong>Style<\/strong><br \/>\nUniform skirts, skorts, capris\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<strong>Color<\/strong><br \/>\nLimited to Khaki, Navy Blue, or Black &#8211; No Plaids.\n<ul>\n<li>Skirts and shorts must be no more than 3 inches above the top of the knee.<\/li>\n<li>Capris must be uniform style.\u00a0 No ties, outer pockets allowed. \u00a0No designs allowed on capris.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Jumpers\/Dresses (Girls)<\/h4>\n<strong>Style<\/strong><br \/>\nV-neck, square neck, or round neck jumper.\u00a0 Polo style dress.\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<strong>Color<\/strong><br \/>\nLimited to Khaki, Navy Blue, or Black, single, solid color.\n<ul>\n<li>Jumpers and dresses must be no more than 3 inches above the top of the knee.<\/li>\n<li>Uniform polo, blouse, or turtleneck must be worn under the jumper.<\/li>\n<li>Girls in pre-kindergarten through sixth grades must wear modesty shorts under skirts or jumpers as part of the KCS uniform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Shoes &amp; Hose\/Tights<\/h4>\n<strong>Color (Hose\/Tights\/Leggings):<\/strong> Any solid single color. Leggings must be ankle length.<strong><br \/>\nShoes:<\/strong> Multipurpose, closed toe, closed heel. Tennis shoes, tie or loafer type shoes. Boots may be worn. No excessive heel height. No para military type boots.\n<ul>\n<li>Shoes must be worn with socks or hose\/tights at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Tennis shoes must be worn on Tuesday and Friday for P.E. Failure to do so will result in the loss of P.E. rewards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Sweatshirt &amp; Sweaters For Classroom Wear<\/h4>\n<strong>Style<\/strong><br \/>\nCrew neck sweatshirts, button or zip-up sweaters (no hoods)\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<strong>Color<\/strong><br \/>\nAny solid color or KCS Spirit Sweatshirt\n<ul>\n<li>Solid colored sweatshirt, a KCS Spirit Sweatshirt, or a button or zip-up sweater may be worn in class over a polo, blouse, or turtleneck.<\/li>\n<li>No hoody sweatshirts or hoody sweaters are allowed to be worn in class.\u00a0 No fleece jackets, except approved KCS Spirit Wear, or pullovers, or coats may be worn in the classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Outerwear: Jackets, Coats, Hats, Gloves, Scarves<\/h4>\n<strong>Color<\/strong><br \/>\nAny\n<ul>\n<li>Hats, except those for winter protective wear, are not to be worn on campus.<\/li>\n<li>All coats, hats, gloves, scarves must be removed upon entering the classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Fridays<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>KCS Spirit Wear or dress code polo, blouse, or turtleneck may be worn with blue denim jeans (modest length, no cutoffs) or blue denim jean shorts.<\/li>\n<li>Blue denim jeans must be neat in appearance, not sag, and be neatly hemmed.\u00a0 They must not have any holes or frayed areas.<\/li>\n<li>Failure to follow blue jeans guidelines will result in loss of privilege.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Comfy Days\/$2 Tuesdays<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Students may wear school appropriate clothing of their choice.
