Hello, my name is Ruth McDonald. I am excited to be joining the KCS family in the role of Jr. High Facilitator. This will be my 11th year working in some form or fashion in Education. I spent 5 years as a teacher’s aide at Monday Primary before transferring to the Transportation Department at Kaufman ISD. I finished and graduated from Texas A&M University Commerce with my BAAS degree in Organizational Leadership in 2019.
My husband Jody and I have been married for 14 years. We have two sons, JD and Cephus, that currently attend KCS. We made the transition to KCS when Covid hit. It has been one of the biggest blessings that resulted from the pandemic. My sons have both mentioned how much they appreciate being able to learn about God at school. The way KCS connects spiritual and academic learning is allowing our boys to grow in their understanding of how God is in every single aspect of their life.
I believe that investing, teaching, and guiding our next generation “in the way they should go” is so important and a way to fulfill the great commission. I am so thankful to have this opportunity to work in an environment where I am able to serve my coworkers, students, parents, and community.
